Membership:

The German Canadian Benevolent Society of B.C. was founded in 1965 by a group of German Canadians who recognized the need for a seniors’ home for seniors of German speaking background.
As a result of the successful fundraising efforts of the founding members the Society opened the German Canadian Care Home in 1969. The operation of the Care Home remains the focus of the Society. Today the Society has about 1800 members.
The membership is a community of people who support the work of the Society. Members are the Society advocates in the greater community; they take an interest in the Society’s work, serve as volunteers or support the Society through donations.
