The German - Canadian - Benevolent - Society is offering
social activities for German speaking seniors in Greater Vancouver

Since 2008 German-speaking seniors from Vancouver have been
meeting for an informal gathering with coffee, cake and a German
language film in the library of the German Canadian Care Home.

Every last Saturday of the month a movie is shown and twice a year
there is a sing-along.
The gatherings are very popular and very well attended!

A questionnaire had been sent out to society members to get
feedback regarding wishes of the membership.
The results highlighted the demand for events, but also for
a friendly visit program for German speaking seniors living
independently at home. The Outreach Program will therefore
develop a volunteer visitor service.

The Board of the Society supports and finances these projects.
